Future projects of the HKS-Group can increasingly be found in research and development of new security technologies. In cooperation with renown scientists of the Laser Laboratorium Göttingen e.V. and the Technical University Clausthal-Zellerfeld, systems for averting dangers are being developed, which, when going into serial production, are going to draw a lasting interest from safety authorities, including counter intelligence and governmental institutions for counter-terrorism.

First test runs with a new type of explosive-detection-system show best results for use in flight security and in locating landmines.

“Bio-Pen”, for which the HKS-Group has acquired the exclusive rights of development and sale, also shows high innovative potential. “Bio-Pen” allows the introduction of new security standards in the field of identifying persons. Financial services providers, companies with high security areas and quality management processes, but also producers of software for time and attendance as well as activity recording are interested in this product, which has already been patented in the USA .

Since the year 2005 the HKS-Group almost tripled the expenditures for product development in the field of security technology.
